John Waters: here to corrupt you.

The filmmaker behind classics like Hairspray and Female Trouble launched a new series of the Here cable channel in February, John Waters Presents Movies That Will Corrupt You, and it's the perfect gig for someone with such an exquisite--and singular--pop culture palate palate (păl`ĭt), roof of the mouth. The front part, known as the hard palate, formed by the upper maxillary bones and the palatine bones, separates the mouth from the nasal cavity. .

"I'm still making a living off my bad taste ... or good taste, I guess," says Waters. "I find it delightfully perverse. "I've always said my work appeals to people who feel like a minority within their own minority," Waters explains. "Here told me they wanted me to appeal to smart gay people and to lure in crazy straight people."
