John R. Sampey papers available on microfiche.


The John R. Sampey Papers are now available in a microfiche Pronounced "micro-feesh." A 4x6" sheet of film that holds several hundred miniaturized document pages. See micrographics.  edition for $3,900. This edition contains the bulk of Sampey's personal and professional papers that range from his diaries in 1883 to his death in 1946. Particularly noteworthy in this collection are Sampey's correspondents, many of them missionaries or missions related.

Beginning in 1895, Sampey served continuously for forty-six years on the International Sunday School Sunday school, institution for instruction in religion and morals, usually conducted in churches as part of the church organization but sometimes maintained by other religious or philanthropic bodies.
