John L. Lyman, MD, is chairman-elect of the Academy of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio Dayton is a city in southwestern Ohio, United States. It is the county seat and largest city of Montgomery County. As of the 2005 census estimate, the population of Dayton was 158,873. . A community-based service organization, the Academy of Medicine is dedicated to supporting excellence in medicine through education, research and service. Lyman also was appointed chairman of the board of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA EDPMA Emergency Department Practice Management Association ). A national trade association, the EDPMA offers support to emergency department physician groups and their partners to enhance quality patient care through operational excellence and financial stability.
