John L. Lyman.

John L. Lyman, MD, is chairman-elect of the Academy of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Lyman is also chief clinical officer of Premier Health Care Services, Inc., an organization that provides emergency department, hospitalist, urgent care, occupational medicine, and correctional medicine management and staffing services. As chairman-elect, Lyman's duties include assuming those of the chair in the chair's absence or at the request of the chair. If necessary, Lyman will preside over meetings, exercise control of the general affairs of the Academy, and, if so invited, represent the Academy of Medicine at meetings of the Wright State University. A community-based service organization, the Academy of Medicine is dedicated to supporting excellence in medicine through education, research and service. Lyman also was appointed chairman of the board of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA). A national trade association, the EDPMA offers support to emergency department physician groups and their partners to enhance quality patient care through operational excellence and financial stability.
