John Goding (1958-2009).


A formal principal dancer with The Washington Ballet, John Goding died in July of a pulmonary embolism. A founding member of the company under Mary Day, he spent the final 11 of his 30-plus years with TWB as ballet master, coaching dancers and performing character roles such as Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker. He also choreographed several works for the company.
