John Goddard Named to Cedar Point Board of Directors.

DERRY, N.H. -- Cedar Point Communications, the leader in integrated packet-based voice and multimedia switching technologies for the cable telecommunications industry, announced today that former Viacom Cable president and CEO John Goddard has been named to the company's Board of Directors.

Goddard, one of the industry's most respected and most recognized leaders, spent 25 years with Viacom and was president and CEO of the MSO from 1980-96. Active in recent years in industry associations, as a director with cable companies and in non-profit causes, he was elected to the Cable Hall of Fame earlier this year.

He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs(R)) and Bend Cable Communications, LLC.

Goddard is a past chairman of the NCTA, past chairman and former Trustee of the Kaitz Foundation, and past president of the California Cable Television Association. From 1989-2003, he served as a director of the Deafness Research Foundation, an organization he chaired from 2001-03.
