John Deere Collectors Center.
John Deere Collectors Center will celebrate its grand opening August 10-11 in Moline Moline (mōlēn`), city (1990 pop. 43,202), Rock Island co., NW Ill., on the Mississippi River, in a coal area; inc. 1848. It is a transportation and industrial center, and has been a major producer of farm machinery since the industrialist John Deere moved there in 1847., Ill., featuring the Moline Tractor and Plow Co., a living history exhibit of a 1950s-era John Deere dealership. The exhibit includes a showroom with vintage tractors, an over-the-counter parts department, an interactive restoration area, an open display of tractors and implements and a retail shop. The grand opening will coincide with the second annual "All Green" antique auction and other activities at the John Deere Commons.
