John Deere, Delta and Pine Land Company (D&PL) and Monsanto--cotton industry leaders in equipment, plant genetics and crop care, respectively--have joined forces on a project aimed at helping growers learn more about the advantages and challenges of producing cotton in 15-inch-row systems. The three companies will closely work with Gill Rogers, a grower in Hartsville, S.C. Each will provide the products, tools and support a producer such as Rogers might need to successfully produce a high-quality crop of narrow-row cotton. Rogers' experiences will be documented on the Web site www.15inchcotton.com.
