John Bodell.John Bodell, DO, of Trenton, Mich., is president of the Michigan Osteopathic os·te·op·a·thy n. A system of medicine based on the theory that disturbances in the musculoskeletal system affect other bodily parts, causing many disorders that can be corrected by various manipulative techniques in conjunction with conventional Association. The organization has represented osteopathic physicians since 1898 and currently represents more than 5,000 osteopathic physicians and 1,300 osteopathic students, interns and residents. Bodell, a board certified surgeon, received his Doctor of Osteopathy Doctor of Osteopathy (or Osteopathic Medicine), n degree accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to physicians specially trained to perform osteopathic medicine including manipulations aimed at restoring normal nerve and blood supply thereby degree from the A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, located in Kirksville, Missouri, is the founding institution of osteopathic medicine. Founded in 1892 by Dr. (KCOM KCOM Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine ) in Kirksville, Mo. This year, he became one of only four recipients to be given the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Humanitarian Award. His charitable activities include annual medical missions to Haiti where he established feeding programs and a birthing center (that now averages 250 deliveries each month) and the development of a free clinic for children of River Rouge who are from families with income below the poverty level.
