Walking back from the White House recently, TIE was floored when passing the new World Bank offices situated on Pennsylvania Avenue. Prominently featured in the center of the main ground floor window was a large photo poster of none other than Joseph E. Stiglitz Joseph Eugene "Joe" Stiglitz (born February 9, 1943) is an American economist and a member of the Columbia University faculty. He is a recipient of the John Bates Clark Medal (1979) and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics (2001). . At first TIE thought it was looking at a World Bank "dead or alive" wanted poster. Remember, Joe was the former World Bank chief economist The position of World Bank Chief Economist is one of the most influential in economics. The full title is Senior Vice President, Development Economics, and Chief Economist.  nearly run out of town because of accusations the agency had botched botch

Lo and behold, the World Bank in its poster was actually promoting its past relationship with Stiglitz, the recipient of the 2001 Nobel Prize for Economics. What's next, Bill Clinton, the new poster boy for Pepperdine University?
