Jim Greenwood, BIO CEO Delivers Keynote Speech at MBC's Annual Meeting, Building the Global Pipeline: Massachusetts Life Sciences at Work.

 at MBC's Annual Meeting. Greenwood will discuss the future directions of BIO and its role in spurring growth and innovation in the biotechnology industry. Greenwood will also explore how the industry can work collectively to help foster economic and environmental growth. Up to 700 life science industry leaders are expected to attend the Annual Meeting, which will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Copley Place is an enclosed shopping mall located in the Back Bay section of Boston, Massachusetts. It is part of a complex that includes office buildings, two hotels, and a parking garage.  Hotel.

Jim Greenwood became President of BIO in 2005 and is a former Pennsylvania Congressman. Greenwood brings to the organization more than two decades of experience as a state and federal legislator and extensive healthcare policy experience.

The keynote luncheon will take place at the Annual Meeting on June 15th and will feature opening remarks by MBC (Multimedia Benchmark Committee) A graphics benchmark that provides MPEG-2 and other tests. Jim Greenwood will present the BIO award for Legislator of the Year to Robert Travaglini Robert Travaglini is the former President of the Massachusetts Senate. He represents the First Middlesex and Suffolk senatorial district, encompassing portions of Boston, Revere, Winthrop and Cambridge.

Travaglini attended Boston State College, earning a B.S., 1974.

The MBC's Annual Meeting entitled Building the Global Pipeline: Massachusetts Life Sciences at Work. will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel from 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. The Annual Meeting will celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the birth of the biotechnology industry and highlight issues that support sustained growth in the life sciences.
