Jilbey Intersects 6 Meters of 15.91 g/t Gold Northeast of Bissa Hill Deposit.

BEDFORD, Nova Scotia -- Jilbey Gold (TSX VENTURE:JLB) is pleased to announce that Rotary Air Blast ("RAB") drilling has intercepted a zone of 15.91 g/t of gold over 6 meters approximately 3.5 kilometers northeast and along strike from the Bissa Hill deposit. This zone is the interpreted extension of the same mineralization found at Bissa Hill and at Bissa South West. For maps, please refer to the Corporation's website at www.jilbey.com.

The RAB drilling program was designed to test two geochemical highs of a 5 km long anomaly trending northeast from the Bissa Hill deposit. Two drill fences, spaced approximately 1.45 kilometers apart, comprising 96 holes totalling 3294 meters were drilled. The 15.91 g/t of gold over 6 meter intersection reported includes 2 meters grading 44.6 g/t Au and is the most significant result received from the southern drill fence, however, other intersections from the same drill fence included 1.78 g/t Au over 4 m and 1.87 g/t Au over 2 meters. An intersection grading 1.07 g/t Au over 6 meters and one grading 1.8 g/t Au over 4 meters were returned from the northern drill fence. This area of interest has been named Bissa North East. The Corporation is extremely encouraged with these results since the Bissa Hill grade and style of mineralization has now been interpreted to extend for a total length of over 5 kilometers along the Sabce Shear Zone ("SSZ"). The SSZ extends for a further 25 kilometers to the southwest to the Guibare deposit where local miners are active on a large scale. The areas between Bissa South West and Bissa Hill as well as between Bissa Hill deposit and Bissa North East have not been drill tested and management intends to drill these areas of the SSZ in October.

The Corporation will release National Instrument 43-101 resource estimates of the Bissa Hill deposit in September.

The Corporation commissioned a second National Instrument compliant 43-101 geological report from SRK Consulting to highlight the exploration potential of the wide range of mineralization types found in the project area. The Corporation expects the report to be completed in the near future and will post it on the www.jilbey.com website.
