The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation and the New York Jets
    The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. They are members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL).
     announced the team will launch a campaign to help raise funds to build the World Trade Center Memorial, donating over $300,000 in advertising time.

    Commercials featuring two of the Jets' best known alums, Vinny Testaverde Vincent Frank Testaverde (born November 13, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League.  and Wayne Chrebet Wayne Chrebet (born August 14, 1973, Garfield, New Jersey) is an American Football player who played 11 seasons as a wide receiver for the New York Jets of the NFL from 1995 to 2005. , will air before, during and after Jets games in August, September and October.

    The donated inventory includes 8 thirty-second television spots and 60 one-minute radio spots during pre-game, in-game, and post-game broadcasts which will run from August 25, 2006 to October 29, 2006.

    The Jets will also donate raffle items for numerous football viewing parties to benefit the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, which will take place on Sunday, September 10, 2006 throughout the tri-state area There are a number of places in the United States known as tri-state areas where three states or holdings meet at one point (a tripoint), or in proximity to each other. The two most well-known are for the New York and Chicago metropolitan areas. .

    Woody Johnson has served on board of directors of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation since December 1, 2004.
