Jersey City's Liberty Towers marks opening with ceremony. (New Jersey).


Jersey City Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham officially opened Liberty Towers last week, during dedication ceremonies at the new rental community along New Jersey's Hudson River Hudson River

Mayor Cunningham joined representatives of the Essex Waterfront Company, developer of Liberty Towers, as well as members of Jersey City's municipal, business, and civic sectors, in welcoming the new waterfront community of 648 residences in two 37-story buildings.

Mayor Cunningham stressed the importance of the opening of Liberty Towers at the city's eastern waterfront.

"This opening is a significant step for our city," he said, "offering an upscale alternative for our current and future residents. What is also important is that the ownership of the building is committed to Jersey City, not just the waterfront.
