The largest city in the U.S. , has announced the election of veteran board member and former Executive Vice President Jerome Belson to the position of Chairman. Mr. Belson, a member of the UCP/NYC Board of Directors since 1971, succeeds Leo Hausman, who passed away on March 19, 2004 after 46 years of service to UCP/ NYC NYC abbr. Mr. Belson is Chairman of Jerome Belson Enterprises and President of the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO ABO See: Accumulated Benefit Obligation ). In recognition of his exceptional leadership skills and dedication to charitable causes, Mr. Belson was inducted into the New York State Builders Association Hall of Fame in 2003, the first person from New York City to receive this recognition. His many other honors include a Public Service Award from the New York Housing Conference/National Housing Conference. With his leadership and support, UCP/NYC has significantly expanded residential services that currently serve 310 adults with developmental disabilities.
