The law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart has announced that Jeffrey S. King has been elected to join the partnership of the firm effective January 1, 2001. Mr. King practices in the areas of environmental, litigation and product liability.

Mr. King is admitted to practice in Massachusetts State Courts, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit is a federal court with appellate jurisdiction over the district courts in the following districts:
  • District of Maine
  • District of Massachusetts
  • District of New Hampshire
  • District of Puerto Rico
, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts The United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts is the Federal district court whose jurisdiction is the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The first court session was held in Boston in 1789.  and numerous pro hac vice For this turn; for this one particular occasion. For example, an out-of-state lawyer may be admitted to practice in a local jurisdiction for a particular case only.

Mr. King graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy United States Merchant Marine Academy, at Kings Point, N.Y.; for the training of merchant marine officers; established 1936, opened 1943. The academy became coeducational in 1974. Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 22, be nominated for candidacy by their U.  in 1986 and received his law degree from the Harvard Law School Harvard Law School (colloquially, Harvard Law or HLS) is one of the professional graduate schools of Harvard University. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Harvard Law is considered one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States.  in 1991.

Mr. King resides in Acton, Massachusetts with his wife and children.
