Jeffrey Lubell becomes head of Center for Housing Policy.


The Center for Housing Policy, the research affiliate of the National Housing Conference, announced that Jeffrey M. Lubell, a recognized expert in housing and community development policy, became executive director of the Center this month.

Lubell succeeds Robert J. Reid who had served as head of the Center since 1993 and as executive director of NHC NHC National Hurricane Center

, the nation's premier public policy and housing advocacy organization, from 1993 to 2002. Reid has moved on to become general manager of NHC's 2006 75th Anniversary Celebration.

Lubell most recently worked as an independent consultant specializing in analyzing and developing recommendations for strengthening national, state and local housing and community development policy. He has an in-depth knowledge of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development programs and an understanding of how these programs intersect with welfare and other anti-poverty programs, after serving as the director of the policy development division of the Office of Policy Development and Research at HUD Hud (hd), a pre-Qur'anic prophet of Islam.
