Jeffrey Levine to be honored at American ORT luncheon.

Jeffrey E. Levine, of Levine Builders, will be honored by the Real Estate and Construction Industry Chapter of American ORT on Wednesday, December 14th, at the 2005 Annual Awards Tribute Luncheon.

Levine is being honored with the ORT Community Achievement Award in recognition of his many professional contributions to the real estate industry.

Levine is an accomplished builder, with an impressive list of credits to his name. As president of Levine Builders since 1979, he has directed the new construction or rehabilitation of thousands of residential units. He has helped build or renovate millions of square feet of commercial space.

"I feel truly honored that American ORT has chosen to honor me with their 2005 ORT Community Achievement Award," Levine has said. "With over 300,000 students in 60 countries, ORT is recognized throughout the real estate industry and throughout the world as a leader in education."

Arnold Penner, chairman of American ORT's Real Estate and Construction Chapter, remarked, "Jeffrey Levine possesses a significant track record as a builder and a fine individual. We could not be happier with our choice of honoree."

Levine sits on the board of governors of both the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York and the Real Estate Board of New York. He has served as president of the Queens County Builders and Contractors Association for two consecutive terms and currently sits on its board of directors. Levine also currently sits on the board of directors of the Citizens Housing and Planning Council, the New York Housing Conference, the New York Building Conference, the National Association of Home Builders, the New York State Builders Association, the New York State Association for Affordable Housing and the Chamber of Commerce of the Borough of Queens.

Levine is currently active as a member of the board of directors of the Kimmel Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating and promoting demonstration housing for aged, handicapped and other special needs populations. Most recently, the Jewish National Fund honored Levine with its Tree of Life Award, a humanitarian award given in recognition of outstanding community involvement.

Levine's endeavors have resulted in numerous recognitions including Phipps Houses Community Builder Award in 2003, The New York Housing Conference Developer of the Year Award in 2000, Ernst & Young 1997 Entrepreneur of the Year, the National Association of Home Builders, Pillars of the Industry 1997 Builder of the Year and the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York Developer of the Year in 1997.
