Jeffrey Forchelli honored by the Brooklyn Law School.Jeffrey D. Forchelli, managing partner of the Mineola-based law firm Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino and Cohn LLP, was named "Alumni of the Year" by Brooklyn Law School History The school was founded in 1901 by William Payson Richardson and Norman Haffey. It opened with 18 students. The school is noted for its diversity. Photographs indicate that by 1909, African Americans and women attended the school. The school was affiliated with St. . Forchelli received the award during the Law School's Alumni Association reception on November 17 in ceremonies held at the new Jeffrey D. Forchelli Conference Center. Also honored during the reception was broadcast journalist and TV personality Geraldo Rivera who graduated with Forchelli in the class of 1969. The Jeffrey D. Forchelli Conference Center--located in the recently completed Feil Hall--offers panoramic views of New York Harbor New York Harbor, a geographic term, refers collectively to the rivers, bays, and tidal estuaries near the mouth of the Hudson River in the vicinity of New York City. He endowed his first faculty chair in 2003 and continued his support in 2004 by endowing a second chair in honor of his father Don Forchelli, class of 1931.
