Jefferies to Host Clean Tech & Alternative Energy Conference; Industry Outlook and Trends to be Explored on May 16th in New York City.

NEW YORK -- Jefferies & Company, Inc., the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF), today announced that it will host its inaugural Clean Tech & Alternative Energy Conference on May 16, 2006 in New York City.

The conference will highlight many of the leading companies who are addressing today's critical energy supply and security issues with a range of technologies, including solar power, fuel cells, ultracapacitors, advanced batteries, microturbines, and hydrogen generation.
