Jean Bigger, MSN, RN, of Gallatin, was recently featured as one of the 2007 Health Care Heroes by the Nashville Business Journal. Bigger was nominated by Ed Brinson, director of Clinical Services for Skyline Medical Center, where Bigger has been employed since 2004. Bigger works in the psychiatric adolescent unit that can house 10 teens at a time and includes an intensive, short-term hospital stay that intervenes in and stabilizes a crisis, helps identify key problems, and figures out the treatment needs of the hospitalized teenager.
