Jay Puri Joins Board of PinkMonkey.com.
PinkMonkey.com, Inc. (OTC BB:PMKY), a digital publisher of educational study aids, announced that at its annual shareholders meeting held on July 22, 1999, the PinkMonkey.com shareholders elected Jay Puri as a director and re-elected Patrick R. Greene, Moses S. Joseph, D. Keith McIntosh, Denny A. Rigas and Donald E. Ison as directors.
"We are excited to bring in Jay Puri to help guide the strategic planning and organizational structure within our company as we transition from a development stage company to an operational one," said David M. Loev, chief financial officer and general counsel. "The addition of Jay Puri will greatly assist the company in forming strategic alliances," added Loev.
Jay Puri has served as vice president of worldwide sales, software and technology at Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq:SUNW) since July 1998. Mr. Puri is responsible for the sale and licensing of all Sun Microsystems' software and technology through all channels worldwide to end users, resellers and OEMs. Mr. Puri served as president of Nihon Sun Microsystems K.K. from July 1995 to June 1998, where he oversaw Sun Microsystems' billion dollar business in Japan. From July 1993 to June 1995, Mr. Puri was vice president of product marketing for Sun Microsystems Computer Company, responsible for all desktop, server, networking and software products. Mr. Puri has also held other senior roles in sales, marketing and product management at Sun Microsystems. Mr. Puri has a Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard University, a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree with High Distinction from the University of Minnesota.
