Javelin Block I motor tests.

The Raytheon-Lockheed Martin Block I Javelin (the latest version ordered) missile recently underwent a series of qualification flight tests at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The Javelin has received a rocket motor designed to reduce time of flight, an improved command launch unit, a software upgrade and an enhanced warhead. The US Army has ordered the Block I variant under an FY05 contract and production is well underway. The Javelin has been chosen by the armed forces of the US, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and six other nations including the Sultanate of Oman.
