Daiwa House bought the 0.75-acre site at 10380 Wilshire Blvd. from Beverly Dayton Properties in April 1989 and expects to complete its 21-story luxury condo tower in June 1991.

The 300,000-square-foot structure will contain 71 "typical" condos and two penthouses, explains Takumi Katayama, Daiwa House's project manager.

Daiwa House, which has its regional headquarters in Irvine, has leased 2,000 square feet at the newly completed Center West office tower in Westwood and will open a marketing center there for its condo project in July. At that time, the developer will begin taking reservations from parties interested in buying one of its luxury condos.
