Since Japan has a very complex topography, it is deemed important to precisely measure wind directions when deploying windmills. LAWEPS-Planner enables the optimization of windmill deployment in terms of size and quantity, as well as the assessment of the output and cost of power generation. The system also allows engineers to deploy as many windmills as possible within a limited area since it can deploy windmills at minimal intervals. The JWA will make LAWEPS-Planner available to the public through its website from October.
