Japan Vilene sales up for first half of year.

According to a recently released report from Japan Vilene, Tokyo, Japan, the company had total sales for the first half of fiscal 1991 (April-September) of 32.16 billion yen, a 4.1% increase compared to the first half of the previous year. The company attributed the growth to favorable sales in most of its divisions--apparel, medical, air conditioning materials and industrial nonwovens.

However, owing to a recent decline in automobile production, Japan Vilene's Automative Material Div. suffered a decrease in sales to slightly less than 33 billion yen.
