"This pioneering technology breaks the limitations of roaming between GSM and CDMA markets. We are especially pleased to offer our subscribers the ability to roam seamlessly from Japan to Europe and other GSM countries."

"Syniverse already provides KDDI with a full suite of CDMA roaming services, so it was a natural extension of our relationship to deliver this highly valued interstandard roaming service," said Dennis Ng, Syniverse vice president - Asia Pacific. "By deploying our UniRoam service, KDDI will be offering business subscribers a valuable productivity tool and leisure travelers will appreciate the convenience of making and receiving calls using their existing phone numbers."
