The CAO is one of the highest ranking members of an organization, managing daily operations and usually reporting directly to the chief executive David Janssen informed the Board of Supervisors that he plans to retire in January after 10 years on the job. Janssen, 61, was appointed by the Board of Supervisors in 1996.
