Jane Robelot, Calvin Hughes to Anchor Expanded News at WGNX-TV, CBS Atlanta; Andrea Arceneaux to Anchor Weekend News.
ATLANTA, Ga., July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Jane Robelot, most recently a CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) See cell broadcast. network news anchor, and Calvin Hughes, a news anchor from KXAS-TV in Dallas, will be joining CBS Atlanta WGNX-TV to anchor its expanded local news beginning September 13, the station announced today.

The initial phase of that expansion begins this fall, with an additional hour added to the evening news, which will then air from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Further program expansion is scheduled for later this year, when two hours of local morning news will be added.
Robelot and Hughes will anchor the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts at the station beginning with the fall season.
A native of Greenville, S.C., with many ties to the Atlanta community, Robelot had been a CBS News anchor and correspondent since March 1995. She also has wide-ranging local news anchor experience, having been on the news team at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia from 1990 to 1995, beginning as a general assignment reporter before being promoted to the main anchor team in 1992. Prior to that she was an anchor and reporter at WSPA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Spartanburg, S.C. She began her broadcasting career as news and sports director and reporter at WSSP-AM in Clemson, S.C. Robelot earned her bachelor's degree in economics from Clemson University.
