Keri Noble

FEARLESS

Lush, emotional and even bearing a dash of southern twang, Fearless is an eye- (and ear-) opening debut. Many of the tracks remind us of other awesome female artists, such as Liz Phair and Sheryl Crow, but Keri is chock-full of her own unique flair and has quite a set of pipes to boot. Best song for getting through a breakup? "In the Rain."

The Kite-Eating Tree

METHOD: FAIL, REPEAT

The emotionally charged record by this West Coast band is exciting! With traces of emo bands like Jawbox, Get Up Kids and Rocket from the Crypt, this is all one could ever want from an indie rock band. Get it while it's hot, gals--this is one you'll keep in your CD changer for weeks.
