Thompson as Project Manager for the Barrington Community in the master-planned community of Kingwood. MLT Development Company acquired the 196-acre Barrington Community property in a transaction announced earlier this month. Noting that Thompson will be responsible for the overall development of the Barrington Community, Michael L. Tenzer, Chief Executive and sole owner of MLT Development Company, LLC and the original developer of the Kingwood Project, said, "Jim is the right man for this important job. His involvement with the community began in 1998 as a consultant to Tenzer Development Company, which owned the project at that time. In 2000, he was appointed President of Tenzer Communities, where he participated with my longtime partner Melanie May and me in the creative design of the unique land plan and construction of site improvements. The architecture and landscape design of Cotswold Boulevard; the Gatehouse entry to the community; the Manor House and the design and building of patio homes, The Mews, were then undertaken by Tenzer Communities as Development Manager. We look forward to working with Jim again in the development and marketing of this special community." Most recently, Thompson was the developer of Wind Rose, a highly successful major master planned community in Houston that marketed home sites to merchant builders.
