James J. Pappas, 48.WORCESTER James J. Pappas, 48, of Worcester, died at home, after a long illness, on Thursday, December 6, 2007, surrounded by his family. He leaves two daughters, Bridget and Brittany Pappas; his parents, Angelo T. and Margaret T. (OCoin) Pappas; two brothers, Thomas F. Pappas and his wife Christine, and John T. Pappas and his wife Denise; two sisters, Margaret M. Pappas, all of Worcester, and Mary E. Cataldo and her husband Peter J., of Manchester, N.H.; eight nephews, two nieces, and a great-nephew. He was predeceased by a sister, Anne Marie Pappas, who died in 1965. Jim was born in Worcester. He graduated from the Worcester Vocational Technical High School in 1978, where he was president of his class during his Junior and Senior years there. He was also a tri-captain of the football team and a player on the basketball team. He was a licensed electrician and worked the past 28 years at the College of the Holy Cross The College of the Holy Cross is an exclusively undergraduate Roman Catholic liberal arts college located in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.
