James A. Lash elected as a director of The Penn Traffic Company.


SYRACUSE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 1996--The Penn Traffic Company announced today the election of James A. Lash as a Director of the Company.

Mr. Lash is a private investor and has been a consultant to Penn Traffic since 1987. Currently he is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Reading Tube Corporation, a manufacturer of copper water tubing. During the 1960's he worked on the Apollo Program at the MIT MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology  Instrumentation Laboratories and the Boeing Company. In the 1970's and the early 1980's he was a management consultant including a period as Director of Management Consulting Operations at Touche Ross & Co. in New York.
