The Software Productivity Consortium's Board of Directors has appointed James A. Kane to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 19, 2004. The Consortium's current President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Werner Schaer, will retire in January 2004, while continuing to serve on the Consortium's Board of Directors.
