Jacqueline, was born in July 1959, and is the daughter of David Gold, the owner of Birmingham City F.C.
 has been voted the most inspirational businesswoman in a poll among women.

Ms Gold, who also runs lingerie chain Knickerbox, was named the female executive most women wanted to emulate in the survey by handbag.com and Barclays Bank.

Celebrity chef In its strictest sense, a celebrity chef is a someone who has become well-known for his/her cooking. The first historical personality that fits this description is Martino da Como but in practical terms the term grew in popularity during the 1990s.  Jamie Oliver was voted the most inspirational male entrepreneur, followed by Stelios Hadji-Ioannou.

Jacqueline Gold said: "I am extremely flattered. Ann Summers has revolutionised the high street and has become a national institution.

"We have always been a business for women run by women. I had no formal business training, so if I can be an inspiration to other women in business then that can only be a positive thing."

Ann Summers, famous for its sexy lingerie and sex toys, has a sales force of more than 7,500 women as party organisers (making it the largest party organisation in the UK), 123 high street stores, and one of the most successful internet sites. With annual sales of over pounds 155m, Ann Summers is also one of Britain's most successful private retailers.
