Jacobs awarded environmental contract from Bechtel Hanford Inc.RICHLAND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 1995--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :JEC) announced today that it has been selected by Bechtel Hanford, Inc. (BHI BHI Baker Hughes Incorporated BHI Brain Heart Infusion (agar) BHI Better Hearing Institute BHI British Horological Institute (UK) BHI Boots Healthcare International BHI Branch If Higher ) for a subcontract award at DOE's Hanford site near Richland, WA. This is Jacobs' first contract with BHI. This is a multiple award task order contract with a ceiling of $20 million over 5 years. Jacobs will compete with other awardees for individual task orders. In particular, Jacobs will provide BHI with engineering support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services for remedial design, systems engineering, and decontamination decontamination /de·con·tam·i·na·tion/ (de?kon-tam-i-na´shun) the freeing of a person or object of some contaminating substance, e.g., war gas, radioactive material, etc. de·con·tam·i·na·tion n. and decommissioning Decommissioning is a general term for a formal process to remove something from operational status. Work under this subcontract will be managed from the Jacobs' Tri-Cities (Kennewick, WA) office.
