Group Inc. (NYSE NYSESee: New York Stock Exchange :JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Chevron U.S.A. Products Company to perform engineering, procurement, and construction support to replace the existing reactor of the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit at their El Segundo El Segundo (ĕl sēgŭn`dō), industrial city (1990 pop. 15,223), Los Angeles co., S Calif., on Santa Monica Bay; inc. 1917. Its products include navigation and computer systems, aircraft parts, office machines, telephone apparatus, and , Calif. refinery. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately $75 million. The project will improve the reliability of the unit and enhance the on-stream duration between turnarounds. The project was started with front-end engineering and cost estimate. Detailed engineering and procurement by Jacobs is in progress.
