Jacobs Wins AFCEE Contract.Business Editors PASADENA, Calif.-(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2000--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE AFCEE Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence AFCEE Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment ), Brooks AFB AFB abbr. acid-fast bacillus AFB Acid-fast bacillus, also 1. Aflatoxin B 2. Aorto-femoral bypass , Texas. Jacobs is one of twelve firms which will be under contract for a program that has a total value of $480 million. The best estimated quantity is $40 million with a contract ceiling amount of $200 million. On this multiyear contract, Jacobs will provide Title I, Title II, and other architect-engineering (A-E A-E, AE above-elbow; see under amputation. ) services to administer, coordinate, and technically support environmental programs of Air Force installations worldwide. The work includes all efforts necessary to manage and execute Title I, Title II, and other A-E services for restoration, pollution prevention, compliance, and conservation environmental projects. Jacobs began providing environmental engineering and design services to AFCEE in 1991, when the company received its first Installation Restoration Program (IRP See Interest rate parity line. ) contract, and has received awards from AFCEE totaling $600 million. Jacobs is now one of AFCEE's largest environmental engineering and remediation contractors.
