Jacobs Subsidiary Sverdrup Technology Receives $120 Million Contract from the United States Special Operations Command.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that their subsidiary Sverdrup Technology, Inc. received a potential $120 million contract to provide acquisition, logistics, management, and business operations technical support to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) headquarters staff, components, and theater SOCs as part of the Acquisition, Logistics, Management, and Business Operations Support (ALMBOS) contract.

The five-year contract has an effective date of May 1, 2002.

Sverdrup serves as the prime contractor for the effort and draws support from nine large business subcontractors (ACS, Anteon, BAE SYSTEMS, Battelle, Boeing, BTG, Camber, Logicon, and MCR) and four small business subcontractors (AST, Comer, Cortez, and OCI).

ALMBOS is the follow-on contract to the USSOCOM's System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) II contract. Sverdrup is one of three prime contractors on the SETA II contract awarded in 1997, and they currently have more than 230 employees supporting USSOCOM.
