Jacobs Subsidiary Receives Contract From the U.S. Marine Corps.Business Editors QUANTICO, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2002 Jacobs Engineering Group Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC), a publicly traded company with annual revenues approaching $7 billion, provides professional technical services. Headquartered in Pasadena, CA, Jacobs offers support to industrial, commercial, and government clients across multiple Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :JEC) announced today that a subsidiary company was granted an option year of a five-year contract to provide Combat Support and Logistics Equipment (CSLE CSLE Combat Support and Logistics Equipment ) Support Services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command located in Quantico, Va. Officials did not disclose the contract value. Jacobs has provided systems engineering, program management, acquisition management, logistics, operations analysis, and modeling and simulation services to the USMC through the CSLE contract since 1999. Most acquisition programs supported under this contract of approximately 150 people are Acquisition Category (ACAT ACAT See: Automated Customer Account Transfer ) III, ACAT IV, or smaller acquisition programs. Jacobs also provides some support to ACAT II programs such as the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) or 7-Ton, is a six-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle used by the United States Marine Corps and United States Navy. It is designed to replace the old M900 series of tactical trucks, and was first fielded in 1998, after the (MTVR MTVR Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement ) program, which is the Commandant's number one USMC priority for ground programs. At any point in time, Jacobs supports more than 100 USMC acquisition programs.
