Jacobs Selected for Pfizer Swedish Biotech Project.

:JEC) announced today that they have been selected to develop a concept and preliminary design for a new biotech pharmaceutical facility for Pfizer, Inc., at Pfizer's Strangnas Manufacturing Center in Sweden.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

The new facility enables Pfizer to ensure manufacturing capacity for existing biotech-derived pharmaceutical products. Jacobs is designing the manufacturing facility in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices Good Manufacturing Practice or GMP (also referred to as 'cGMP' or 'current Good Manufacturing Practice') is a term that is recognized worldwide for the control and management of manufacturing and quality control testing of foods and pharmaceutical products.  (cGMP), Pfizer quality standards, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicines Agency The European Medicines Agency (EMEA) is a European agency for the evaluation of medicinal products.
