Jacobs Receives Potash Corporation Contract.

:JEC) announced today that a subsidiary company received a contract from a subsidiary of Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan The Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, today generally referred to as PotashCorp, is a Canadian corporation based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan that is the world's largest producer of potash.

The company was created by the government of Saskatchewan in 1975.
, Inc. for the expansion of its purified acid plant in Aurora, N.C. This project represents the fourth manufacturing train built by Jacobs at this site and will produce 90,000 tons per year of purified phosphoric acid phosphoric acid, any one of three chemical compounds made up of phosphorus, oxygen, and hydrogen (see acids and bases). The most common, orthophosphoric acid, H3PO4, is usually simply called phosphoric acid. .

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

The contract scope includes basic and detailed engineering, procurement, modular fabrication, and construction.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Pete Evans stated, "We are pleased to collaborate once again with Potash Corporation on this important fast-track project, which represents a strategic market initiative in their existing industrial and specialty phosphates business."
