:JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide technical support to develop cleanup and monitoring strategies for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal The Rocky Mountain Arsenal was a United States chemical weapons manufacturing center located in the Denver Metropolitan Area in Commerce City, Colorado. The site was operated by the United States Army throughout the later 20th century and was controversial among local residents  and eight other designated Chemical and Biological Defense Command (CBDCOM CBDCOM Chemical Biological Defense Command (Army) ) installations throughout the United States. This work includes regulatory compliance, environmental sampling, cleanup studies, and program management.

The contract has a potential value of $20 million, with work anticipated to extend into the year 2003.

Jacobs Senior Vice President Paul Miskimin stated, "The award of this technical support contract continues the successful, long-term relationship Jacobs has had with the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. We look forward to developing further relationships with the CBDCOM facilities. This award demonstrates our resolve to be a leader in providing environmental services to the Department of Defense."
