The last time Dinah Galloway saw Ardle Bean was just before her dad died, when Ardle had dropped in to make sure that Dinah's dad had found a secure place for the king. Seven years later, Ardle, out of jail, returns for the king. It soon becomes clear, however, that Ardle isn't the only one interested in locating the king. Past and present converge con·verge
