Philip Douglas "Phil" Jackson (born September 17, 1945 in Deer Lodge, Montana) is the current coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, an American professional basketball team.
, said he expects Jackson to continue coaching next season.

She told ESPNLosAngeles.com she wasn't certain where, however.

Jackson, 64, recently said he would decide whether he would continue coaching after the season, when he consults with his doctor. The Lakers' success or lack thereof during the postseason also could have an impact on his decision.

"I think if they win it's like a no-brainer he'll come back because he'll want to win three in a row," said Buss, who serves as a Lakers vice president. "But (if they don't win), if there isn't that connection, he would understand.

"Plus, my dad made it very clear he doesn't want to pay him what he's been paying him ($12million this season). So that's kind of hard, too. You could kind of say, in some jobs, 'Well I'm cutting back your hours.'

"But can you see him cutting back his hours? It's not really about the amount of money, it's about 'I can't give you less effort.' "
