Jabber XCP 5.1 Gives Extensible Messaging and Presence a Boost; Upgrades Add Dynamic Web Meetings and Event Agents, HTTP Binding, and More Security Options.


DENVER -- Jabber An open standard for instant messaging (IM). There are tens of thousands of Jabber servers on the Internet, most of which are privately run within a company or college campus. There are also hundreds of public Jabber servers that any user can register with, Google Talk being the largest. , Inc. today announced the 5.1 release of the Jabber Extensible Communications Platform (Jabber XCP XCP Extensible Communications Platform (Jabber)

). Along with its standard enterprise and carrier-grade instant messaging Exchanging text messages in real time between two or more people logged into a particular instant messaging (IM) service. Instant messaging is more interactive than e-mail because messages are sent immediately, whereas e-mail messages can be queued up in a mail server for seconds or  (IM), multi-user chat, and highly programmable presence platform, Jabber XCP has added:

--A new Java-script client that leverages HTTP HTTP
