JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER MUGGED WHILE GOING TO CLASS.

NORTHRIDGE - A junior high school teacher was mugged while getting out of his car to go to class early Friday, police said.

 Holmes Junior High School teacher Roger Brumpton about 7 a.m. on Vincennes Avenue, near Paso Robles Robles is a common surname in the Spanish language meaning oaks, and may refer to:
  • Alfonso García Robles (1911-1991), Mexican diplomat and politician
  • Aurora Robles (born 1980), Mexican fashion model
  • Charlie Robles (born 1943), Puerto Rican musician
 Avenue, where he had parked, officials said.

Brumpton was treated at a hospital for scrapes and abrasions, hospital officials said.

Police described the suspects only as two Latino males.

The victim never saw any weapons, police said.

Brumpton's wallet was found near the school in the 9300 block of Paso Robles Avenue in Northridge. His money was missing, but the credit cards were still there, said Principal Dolores Dolores (or Delores) was a common given name (until the 1960s in the USA); it is cognate with the English word "dolorous" (meaning sorrowful) and equivalent in meaning.  Donlan.

Brumpton was having mechanical problems with his car, so he parked it on a surface street on Vincennes Avenue, the principal said. Otherwise, he would have been in a secured lot.

``We haven't had anything like this happen here. We're very concerned and it's upsetting to the whole school,'' Donlan said.
