JUNIOR / SMALL COLLEGES: FROST SPARKS GLENDALE IN WIN.

Michael Frost ran for two touchdowns and threw for another Saturday as Glendale (2-4, 1-1) defeated Pierce 22-12 Saturday in a Western State Conference Northern Division game at Glendale.

With Pierce trailing 16-0 entering the third quarter, quarterback Calvin Zinck (22 of 45, 284 yards) rallied the Brahmas (1-5, 0-2), connecting on touchdown passes of 13 and 59 yards. But his conversion pass to get Pierce within eight points fell incomplete with 1:26 left in the game.

Saul Harris (89 yards on 18 carries) took over Glendale's running duties from Darrell Durham, the WSC's second-leading rusher, who missed the game with a family emergency.

Basil Duncantell led Pierce with nine catches for 149 yards and a touchdown. The Brahmas' Vaughn Corley, the conference leader in receptions, was shut out in the first half but came back to grab 5 balls for 57 yards and a score.

Moorpark 42, L.A. Harbor 24: The game's tempo shifted dramatically early in the fourth quarter as Moorpark's Russell Burwell returned a Seahawk punt 81 yards to spark Moorpark's comeback. The Raiders scored 28 points in the fourth quarter behind tailback Emory Holmes, who took over in the fourth quarter, gaining 153 of his 154 rushing yards. Moorpark improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play while L.A. Harbor dropped to 1-5, 0-2.
