Superior Court judge has ruled in favor of the Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. The 323,700 acre foot lake (399,000,000 m³) is the terminus of the West Branch of the California Aqueduct, though some comes from the 154 mi² Water Agency in regard to finances that related to the acquisition of the Santa Clarita Water Co. The court determined that the CLWA CLWA Chip-Level Weibull Analysis CLWA Children living with AIDS (Lancaster, OH) had the right to retail water, and issue Certificates of Participation of $75 million as the acquisition cost of the Santa Clarita Water Co. The recent ruling follows another win in July, when the 2nd Appellate Relating to appeals; reviews by superior courts of decisions of inferior courts or administrative agencies and other proceedings. District Court struck down a 2002 Superior Court ruling that would have prohibited the agency from operating the Santa Clarita Water Co. In rejecting the lower court ruling, the higher court upheld the CLWA's right to acquire the former Santa Clarita Water Co., and sell water at retail prices within defined boundaries. The Castaic agency is the region's wholesaler of state water. Castaic contended that under Assembly Bill 134, which former Gov. Gray Davis signed in October 2001, the agency was allowed to operate at retail within a small geographic area and not through an intermediary. |
