JUDGE HEARS ARGUMENT AGAINST AMERICANA EIR.

Byline: Daily News

A Superior Court judge heard the arguments Wednesday of Glendale Galleria owner General Growth Properties against the adequacy of the environmental document for the $264 million Americana at Brand project, but did not hand down his decision.

Senior Assistant City Attorney Gillian van Muyden anticipates there may be a decision by Judge Robert O'Brien in about two weeks on the suit filed by General Growth seeking to invalidate the environmental document that was approved by the city.

Attorneys representing the city and developer Rick Caruso argued the document is thorough and addresses all impacts of the 15.5-acre downtown center.
