LOS ANGELES Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  - A Superior Court judge Tuesday dismissed a defamation lawsuit against Stevenson Ranch Stevenson Ranch, California (in the 91381 ZIP Code) is a Los Angeles County, USA, unincorporated community west of Santa Clarita a few miles south of Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park. The Stevenson Ranch fountain was redone in 2007.  Town Council President Keith Pritsker.

The judge ruled that Stevenson Ranch resident Dave Bossert Dave Bossert is the Creative Director for Special Projects at Disney Animation. He studied at the Character Animation program at CalArts.  Pritsker, and prevent him from participating in local government.

``I'm pleased that the judge found that this was worse than filing a frivolous lawsuit,'' Pritsker said.

Stevenson Ranch Town Councilman Gary Schamber also was named in the suit. Bossert's attorney, Rick Ryan, said they plan to appeal the decision.

``The judge was simply wrong,'' Ryan said.

The dispute stems from comments that Pritsker made in April to the Los Angeles Times Los Angeles Times

Morning daily newspaper. Established in 1881, it was purchased and incorporated in 1884 by Harrison Gray Otis (1837–1917) under The Times-Mirror Co. (the hyphen was later dropped from the name).
claiming that Bossert was guilty of financial misconduct. Pritsker said Bossert failed to provide documents that Pritsker demanded, as treasurer of the Stevenson Ranch Homeowners' Association A homeowners' association (abbrev. HOA) is the legal entity created by a real estate developer for the purpose of developing, managing and selling a community of homes. .

The newspaper was not sued.

Ryan said he plans to challenge the findings that Bossert is a limited public figure, and that Pritsker's comments were not malicious.

Bossert was the chairman of the now-defunct Stevenson Ranch Civic Committee, which was closely allied with Lennar Corp., the community's developer.

The Town Council, which once was a subcommittee of the homeowners association, split with the association after residents who promised to slow the pace of growth in the community were elected.
